Read the warning sign. The two boarders on the left are newbies, and there is Brent on the right to push them down the hill! Ah well, I can’t put all the blame/credit on Brent, it was my idea to go that way instead of the longer but safer route. Hehehehehehe.
P.S. That red sled under the sign is what they use to cart people down who get hurt. I’m guessing they use it a lot!
I took Friday off of work to go hang out with Brent and a bunch of college kids from Kansas. Winter Park had SO much fresh powder it was crazy - crazy awesome! Winter Park had some very cool runs from the top of the mountain. The runs started out above the tree line so there is just huge areas of wide open powder covered terrain. Further down you start snowboarding through nicely spaced trees! Yes, I will be back to Winter Park. It took me a long time to get up there because of the road conditions, but it was SO worth it.
How much snow was there? An avalanche took out a couple of cars on the same freeway I passed 4-5 hours earlier.
